Sandy Beaches in Hermanus

Grotto Beach is Blue Flag status and considered the main beach in Hermanus.

Grotto Beach

Grotto Beach is Blue Flag status and considered the main beach in Hermanus.  The 18km long stretch of white sand is great for walking, great for swimming and family picnics.  Grotto Beach is excellent for whale watching in season (June to November).

Voëlklip Beach

Voëlklip Beach is popular for family picnics on the grassy patches, sunbathing and surfing. It is smaller and more intimate than Grotto Beach.

Kammabaai Beach

Kammabaai also known as Nanny’s Beach is tucked between Voelklip and Grotto Beach. It is a quiet, rocky beach that is ideal for families and children of all ages. It is great for bodyboarding and tidal pool exploring during low tide.

Langbaai Beach

Langbaai Beach is a small, secluded cove for a perfect and peaceful escape.  Great for experiences swimmers and a favourite amongst the locals.
