When is the best time to see whales and dolphins from The Windsor Hotel Hermanus?
Hermanus is well known for its land-based whale watching. Whale season starts from June and carries on through to November. Dolphins frequent our coast line throughout the year.
Are there swimming beaches in Hermanus and are they safe for swimming?
Our blue-flag status beach is Grotto Beach which stretches for +/- 18 km. Voëlklip Beach and Kammabaai are close to Grotto. All the beaches are very popular for swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, as well as surf-skying.
What local activities do you recommend?
Wine tasting in the Hemel en Aarde region, sea-kayaking, whale watching cruises, hiking in Fernkloof Nature Reserve, swimming beaches, shark cage diving are just some activities to recommend to our guests. There are many country markets to visit, art galleries, great boutique shops for souvenirs.

There are a number of shuttle services available in Hermanus for getting around in and around Hermanus. These shuttle services can assist with airport transfers. Please let us know and we will put you into contact with our preferred shuttle services.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Our guests can send their laundry to our external laundry service that is situated in Hermanus. We can assist our guests with irons and ironing boards on request.

We do not offer lunch or dinner at the hotel. Our front office staff will gladly recommend our favourite restaurants.

We serve a full English & Continental buffet breakfast.

Breakfast is served from 07H00 to 10H00 every morning.
